International Gamers Awards 2008

International Gamers AwardsThe International Gamers Awards were created to recognize outstanding games and designers, as well as the companies that publish them. The awards are truly international in scope, with committee members representing countries throughout the world. The goal of the IGAs is to truly select the 'best of the best' in two categories: General Strategy Games and Historical Simulation Games. We hope that this will lead to greater exposure for these wonderful games to more and more people and help spread the word of the "wonderful world of gaming" on a global scale.

Best Multi-Player Game: Agricola

In Agricola (Latin for "farmer"), you're a farmer in a wooden shack with your spouse and little else. On a turn, you get to take only two actions, one for you and one for the spouse, from all the possibilities you'll find on a farm.

Best Two-Player Game: 1960: The Making Of The President

Will you recreate history, or rewrite it? In this fast-playing, 2-player strategy game, players take on the role of John F. Kennedy or Richard Nixon vying for the right to lead his country into the heart of the Cold War.
