Sudoku

SudokuSudoku is a logic-based puzzle game that takes place on a 9x9 grid, in which the object of the game is to fill each cell with a number from 1-9, so that each column and each row contains only one of each number. In addition, each of the 9 boxes made up of a 3x3 grid, can contain only one of each number. A Sudoku game is constructed with the cells partially filled in, to give the player a "head start", and the number of pre-filled cells usually establishes the difficulty.

There are various theories about who invented Sudoku, but it gained immense popularity in the mid-2000's as a newspaper puzzle, computer and mobile game, and even as a TV game show. It was also developed as a board game, which makes the game more sociable and competitive.
