The U.S.A. License Plate Game is a great travel companion! Made of wood, it has a map of the United States with license plates for all 50 states attached to the board. Spot a license plate from a state and flip the corresponding plate on the board to your color (red or blue). At the end of the game (an hour, all day, whenever you reach your destination, etc.), whoever has the most plates flipped to their color wins!
State capitals are on the bottom side of the license plates. Adults can test the player's knowledge of state capitals by randomly calling out a state name. The first player to name that state's capital flips the tile to their color. A similar game can be played using the state postal abbreviations located on the back of the game board.
